Below is a list of cooperative groups. However, Spaghetteria da Kulø does not fit any of the categories.
Industry partners
Telenor R&D Tromsø Telenor Research and Development Tromsø is a research institute doing research on information and communication technology.
Invenia AS Invenia AS is a software development company with focus on Internet based solutions.
NORUT IT NORUT IT is an applied research institute specialised in research and development related to earth observation and information and communication technology.
Research groups
DMRG Lancaster Distributed Multimedia Research Group, Computing Department, Lancaster University.

ABean cooperative projects
The Arctic Beans project cooperate closely with related projects at the University of Tromsø, Lancaster University, Simula RL, and Sintef.
University of Tromsø
OOPP OOPP (Open-ORB Python Prototype) is the Dr. project of Anders Andersen. It is strongly related to the Open-ORB project at Lancaster University (see below). OOPP is an implementation of a reflective middleware providing structural reflection. QoS management functions based on timed automata is implemented on top of this platform.
AdTrans AdTrans has studied advanced transaction management for both open nested and flat transactions. A main focus has been on advanced concurrency control. To support this activity, we also study transaction decomposition and recovery for open nested transactions.
Pasta Pasta investigates different aspects of private machines in distributed systems.
Obol Obol is language to specify and implement (security) protocols.
Pesto Pesto is a persistent private data storage. It incorporates basic but flexible safety and security mechanisms.
Multe Multe is a multimedia middleware platform that is suited for both low-latency and high-throughput requirements.
Lancaster University
OpenCOM OpenCOM is a reflective component platform. ReMMoC is build with OpenCOM technology with a focus on support for mobility.
Open-ORB Open-ORB is a reflective middleware platform that is responsive to new end user demands and the emergence of new technology (including multimedia and mobile computing).
Simula RL
QuA The QuA (Quality of Service Aware Component Architecture ) project investigates how to develop complex real-time applications on a component architecture platform and how dynamic QoS management and adaptation can be supported in general-purpose component architectures.
QoS Beans QoS Beans introduces quality of service management into enterprise component architectures. QoS Beans is an extension of the ideas explored in the Arctic Beans project.
Sintef
FAMOUS FAMOUS (Framework for Adaptive Mobile and Ubiquitous Services) seeks to contribute towards technical solutions for engineering methods used to build software that operates satisfactorily under mobile and varying conditions.
Other related exits
Projects, documentation, software and other exits of interest to the Arctic Beans project members (and others with similar interest).
Other related projects
TAPAS TAPAS: Trusted and QoS-Aware Provision of Application Services. See also home page at University of Newcastle.
JavaPod JavaPod: an Adaptable and Extensible Component Platform.
JAC JAC (Java Aspect Components) is a project consisting in developing an aspect-oriented middleware layer.
Lasagne Lasagne is used for the construction of customizable middleware and distributed services.
JOnAS JOnAS is a pure Java open source implementation of the EJB (Enterprise JavaBeans) specification.
